Just finished this Night Fighter HO229B from Dragon 1:48 Kit. This kit is not very good as the nose, fuselarge, and wings don’t fit very well and require lot of putty and sanding. I managed to get it done to a reasonable result but still not quite happy with it. Any way at least I’ve added another rare plane in the collection. Hope you like the pictures.
Great look and nice job.
Very nice build, of an unusual subject. What technique used for the mottling on the… “wing”?
Gee, I seem to recall a group build sometime ago on the Hoe…[^o)]
Thanks very much for the comments guys.
Reasoned,
I used the blue tacky putty to make the template for the motting on the wings then airbrushed it.
Looks good to me. Sorry to hear that the fit isn`t too great…I have one in my stash…lol.

Nice work! Love the wavy edge camo demarcation line and the cool ‘inkblots’!
Shhhhhhhhhh, Reasoned if you don’t bring that up again neither shall I! [;)]
Thanks very much guys. Yes this one took me a while to finish. I’m just not very good with putty and sanding. Now I would like to build the first proto type Horton day fighter if I could get my hand on one [:D]
Nice looking builds. I like the paint scheme. Seems you have run foul of the dreaded Dragon fit.
MMMMM, 229, seems to ring a bell.
The rubber tires look like rubber! Nice clean work!
Great looking 229! Yes the fit on these is’nt great but you’ve tackled it nicely!
