Nice work SP! The dirt, grime, and weathering looks good and I like the storage, all strapped down and everything! I assume this is the Second World War version since I think in Korea they had a telephone box mounted beside the left rear fender?
Nice work Stik, dusty OD really looks good
Great looking build Stik. I don’t think I have seen this tank before.
I liked the storage, looks realistic and how they tried to secure it, more or less…
Boy, ya got that dusty finish thing down pat, Lee! A nice, restrained finish on this beauty!
Again, really cool stik. The TC looks really good too. [Y]
Thank you guys! I do appreciate your kind words!
Gamera, yes this is the initial build batch of Pershings, the T26, that saw action in the last months of the war in Europe. I based the stowage off the few combat photos of them that I could find. If I took it into AMPS without that stuff being tied down I would get some serious ribbing from the boys there
Tojo, that’s what I wanted to do, a new but dirty look.
Bish, it’s a contemporary of the Centurion Mk.I, but they actually got to fight in combat starting in March 1945. I think that they have similar lines, especially when the side plates are removed on the Centurion.
Garzon, when youre not getting frustated with the thread worrying about breaking some tie down point off, its pretty fun to rig that up.
Karl, I could hear your feedback on some of my other builds in my mind as I was in the finishng process on this one… Critiques are most welcome to apply on the next project.
SL, he actually needs a bit more work. I need to fins some insignia decals for his unit flash and rank chevrons on the sleeves. And add a cord for the handmic…
But it feels great to get another one DONE!!!
Always nice to see a ‘queen’ finally cross the finish line Stik! Nice work on the Pershing. [B]
Very nice Pershing.
Thanks for the kind words guys! I appreciate them
Well Done!!
Great Job!!! Love the weathering…effective and not over done (like I tend to do!).
Thank you guys. Yeah, this one is a bit more restrained than my latest usual weathering jobs… LOL!
Very nice model Stik!! I especially like the weathering you’ve done.
That’s a sweet looking tank, Stik. Very much like the finish.
Thank you sir! Like my TBD, there are a few small flubs that I am not happy about, but overall I am very pleased with the final results here.
