Dornier Do.X

Ahhh… flying boats. What a nice model. Thats one I’d like to have someday too. That is a great model, and would probably look big, and great, next to the old Revell fourstacker model.

Hey Matt, a little while ago a fellow was looking for Mohawk Airlines decals in 1/48. Was your source a/m?

Swanny, an excelent build!!But the burning question is…is there enough room in the bath tub for it??

Nope, these came with the kit. If I had known I probably could have scanned them and enlarged them. Too late now.

Another magnificent model from one of the best.

Very nice job, Swanny! The Dornier’s fuselage/hull is so shiplike that I can imagine the pilot standing in the cockpit/bridge flying with a spoked ship’s wheel.

The design of that plane looks like something right out of an Ayn Rand novel. Beautiful work.

You’re not too far off.

I would kill for this kit in 1/48 (or better yet, 1/32) scale!!!

Beautiful build of a very dynamis aircraft! Thanks for sharing!

Excellent work Matt. Really looks like an impressive build. Could you put it up against a 1/48 fighter to gauge scale. It looks huge.

…Guy

It is larger than a 1/48 P-40, has about the same wingspan as a 1/48 Bf-110. If compared to a scale B-17 it would have half again the total wingspan.

As the guys said, exellent job Matt!!! the kit looks great, and you have done a flawless paint job! It looks like a huge plane! I still can figure out where to put my 1/72 P-3 orion once I decide to build it.

Again congratulatios, and keep up the good work, I always enjoy to see one “odd bird” in thee forum.

best regards
