This sounds like a model railroad site but it deals with models and rc too. It got my attention from the low prices, which are legit because I guess some people actually get their items (ive been waiting a month now for an order). If you order online and punch in your card information you may as well just give your card to some stranger cuz the same thing will happen. Someone got my information from their site and tried to buy $700 worth of stuff other places online. I know it was from this site cuz the last time i used my card before that was on squadron 3 months ago and this activity was in the last few days, plus I just saw posts on the model railroader forum of people getting their identity robbed from the same site. Luckily all the attempted transactions were rejected and my card cancelled, but beware of online shopping, you never know whos out there
Thanks for the heads up. Another retailer from England had their system also compromised not long ago.
Visa and Mastercard now offer Debit cards, so you should get one of these for use online. Unlike a credit card, a debit card will stop when the funds reach zero (rejecting any further transactions). i leave my balance close to zero as possible and only put funds in there when i’m doing a purchase.
I don’t know about this site, but Hannants from the UK recently got their site “haked” - from what I am led to belive it wasn’t Hannants that were at fault, but their PSP or bank.
it was a mastercard debit card
