So, I am painting the rubber on the road wheels to my latest project and getting down to the last few, when I notice something. One of the return rollers is missing!!! It must have disappeared somewhere between the garage and my study. ARG!!! I spent an hour looking for the thing last night and no luck. [:(!][xx(][V] Guess I am going to give resin casting a try sooner than I though.
oh man I hate that. Or whats happened to me before is going through a long and complicate weathering process only to find you have left a wheel in the box and have to repeat it all again…
Edog, What no spares in the spare parts box??? Do you have a similar model that you can take one off that one??? Just a couple ideas. If you have the money you could also contact the manufacturer.
Whatch ya paintin? I gots lots of xtras.And yes it sucks, I have been fortunate enuff to find mine. after about 2 days,or the kids find em.
My experience is that if you want to find it, you never will. A year from now, when you have no use for it, you’ll find it on your pillow like a mint.

Okay, buy another kit, take the return roller off and use that. Then, make the new kit a cut away with side cut where the roller would have been. When you’re done with that, buy even more kits and lose just one part, this way you can justify expanding your collection without anybody objecting.
Finally, go to the food fest over on Tankrider’s new post and eat up. Next, buy more kits. Then more paint and glue and stuff. When you’re done get more. After that more. and more. See where this is going? Good. 'cause I can’t.
Yes, I hate it when that happens… I usually lose hatches. (brain cells, etc).

Maybe one of us has one laying around in a parts box.
How about when you’re finished airbrushing, clean it up and store it, only to discover you missed a spot in an obvious location. Now you have to drag out the airbrush and finish that one little spot and clean up again.
Let us know what kit you’re working on, some one out here has probably got a couple of spares laying around.[:)]
It’s the Tamiya M26 Pershing. I need part A24, the inside half of the return roller. I actually went to Hobby Lobby to get some stuff to cast a new one in resin. I was heading to the checkout counter and adding up the goods, when I realized that I could almost buy a new Pershing with what I was about to spend. I am heading to the LHS to see how much a replacement spur would cost. Thanks for the advice guys. Oh, and I have already checked the spare parts box.
As long as we are on the topic of things that I hate, here is another one: I mix my own colors most of the time when I airbrush. The worst is when you realize you forgot one part and have already gotten rid of the excess mixed color.
Could you use A20?
I have built that kit but I don’t think there are extra return rollers provided in the sprues. Sorry.

I built it as well and there is 2a 20 parts that look as if they could work.
A20 will not work[:(] and my LHS said they cant order parts spurs. ARG!! now i have to wait till monday to order from Tamiya direct I guess.
