I was wondering as I want to make the bins look damaged(which they usually are)but i dont fancy scratchbuilding or making PE Bins.
Has anyone had success with thinning plastic parts by sanding and then attacking them with a blunt object to simulate damage?
Or using heat…?
Thanks in advance.
I tried both sanding and heat, and niether works. If you want realistic damage, PE is about the only way to go. Making PE storage boxes is pretty easy and straightforward, nothing like trying to do working tool clasps or the other headaches you hear about.
I used small drill, use sand paper just too hard for me, after that I used liquid cement to soften the thin part, and you can do what ever you want.
