Does anyone have a spare F-101B left hoizontal stabilator?

Hi guys,

Bought new from hobbyshop a 1/72 scale F-101B Voodoo kit number 4456 which when I opened had a missing part #67 horizontal slabilator. To make a long story short, Revell C/S told me to send the UPC code, hobbystore receipt and kit instructions as it is still in production in Germany as kit number 4321. After many requests for an update, they advise me that they never received my letter or it was misplaced / lost by a new ex-staff personnel.

I’m asking if anyone out there has a spare one even from a trashed F-101B where the left stabilator is still useable. Thanks.

Have you tried returning it to your hobby shop for a refund or replacement?

The problem is that this F-101B kit is very hard to find for me and the local shops don’t have any left. I want to build a good 1/72 scale CF-101B Voodoo using the Revell AG kit and not the Matchbox reissue. I’m not choked about the money but more about the fact that I can’t build - not much of a scratchbuilder so making one is quite out of the question for me.

monkey - well, I was going to tell you I’ve got five or six “extra” horizontal stabilizers, until I noticed you’re talking about the 1/72nd version, not the 1/48th version . . .

Try ordering the replacement part on-line; Revell AG has pretty good customer service on-line: I’ve received four or five replacement parts from them over the last year when I ordered them on-line. All they charge you for is shipping & handling (I think it was about $1.50 last time I got some parts from them). The only bad part is you gotta use a credit card.

Just to let everyone know. Revell Germany came thru and mailed me the missing part.
