Dodge L 700 cab

This is the cab that came with the kit, Round 2 sent me a replacement cab. I figured that I would trash this cab. Trying to make look like it was in a accident. Opinions please , i used pastel from Tamiya and black panel line accent.

So far, so good. Its a good piece to practice/learn weathering skills. I have used craft paints in various colors, brushed on or rubbed with a cloth even. Lots you can do. Have some fun with it.

Thank you for the information, i will have to try some oil paints

Now that you say that… Oil Paints sounds like something that could work for weathering features. I will try that now too, but I was actually speaking of water based acrylic craft paints, the cheap stuff at a craft store or discount store. Here are a couple of examples.

The 37 Ford has rust oxide brown and maybe a touch of black and tan acrylic craft paint, dry brushed on and rubbed a bit with my finger or a cloth.

The Nova wagon is painted in red primer and I sanded some areas down to expose the base color and went back over with gray, tan, brown craft paint dry brushed and rubbed in.
