Do you stick to one subject (i.e. armor) or do you build a variety of things?

Hi All,

Do most of you generally stick to one modelling subject or do you build from a range of subjects (armor, aircraft, figures) and eras (WWII, modern)? I’m currently working on a Sea Harrier from the Falklands, Pavehawk and Apache copters, and a Sherman with 105. Maybe it’s just my recent rediscovery of modelling and I have yet to “find myself”, or perhaps I’m just eclectic.

I seem to be having much more fun, however, with the Sherman than any of the others (no [censored] canopies and clear parts to contend with and a much simpler paint scheme!). Perhaps Copterguy is in need of a name change.[:D]

HEY,
I have built a few of everything, but i tend to stick to autos. I am building a Tamiya M1A1 Abrams, and i kinda realized i like armor a bit more than autos. I guess im converted. I still build autos though.

Randy

I buid mainly AUTOS and Aircraft(Mainly WWII)…

Im getting burnt out on Autos…Ive built so many in the past. That Im looking for new things to try. I have yet to build a tank though I now have a few tanks and armor kits sitting on the shelf…Maybe Ill jump into one soon enough

Never built a ship before but I have pre-ordered the Revell 1/72 VII C…

I try to keep it varied, but I primarily build modern aircraft. But I have built some armor/infantry dioramas, a couple ships, working on an auto right now , a few rockets and of course more airplanes. The only reason I stick to aircraft is that is where my passion is. Working in the aerospace industry makes me partial to modelling things that fly.

I mainly build all types of armor and autos. Until i found this forum it was only autos but they’ve done a good job at converting me to the darkside. Still do the occasional auto though kind of hard to get away from how it started. Would like to get into scratchbuilding some fire apparatus though to.

I have always liked A/C best. Over the years that has been distilled down to experimental fighters of all eras. Very recently Star Trek kitbashing has caught my eye. It just looks so darn fun![:D]

I build only military models. mostly armor, with a few ships, and the rare flak target airplane

I do mostly armor but I do aircraft too. Once I did a dio with just figures.I’m even contemplating of doing some motorcycles.[:)]

I tend to swing widely across all the genres.

Most of the times I will build a few kits from one than get bored with it and move onto the next set of Kits.

My aircraft probable out number all the rest by 10 to 1. Depends on what peeks my intrest at the time but I do favour things with wings.

I do mostly factory stock muscle cars, and classics with a occasional street rod, and on occasion, a aircraft(WWII), or helicopters, and a occasional TOS Star Trek kit.

I do just about everything, but mostly I build armor and large scale figures. im having fun with some a/c right now though, but Im sure sometime this next year I will get back to armor. I have some more Tigers that need building!

I tend to be a little bit more specific in my builds … mostly Shermans, but for variation I will sometimes build another Allied armour piece.

I build mostly WWII aircraft, I have a couple of jets. I’m trying my hand at armor. Loooking forward to Revell’s 1/72 U boat, I’d like to have one on my shelf. Bob

I do 1/35 Armor (WWII and Modern) and 1/48 1/72 Aircraft (Modern). Now I will be venturing into 1/144 Aircraft and 1/72 Armor kits.

I tend to do US WWII vehicles armor & soft skin with a few figures thrown in. I’m always telling myself that I’m going to do some of my A/C kits that I have but when I look at my selection of paints and stuff I think. Before I can do this kit, I need this that and the other thing from the LHS, but I have every thing I need for this nice Sherman sitting on my shelf. So I do the Sherman.

Mainly aircraft with some cars thrown in.

Mike

I am getting fussy in my old age; building mostly ships but some aircraft that I have had a connection with over the years.

This means if Shermanfreak gets me climbing all over a tank in Calgary I’ll probably build one.
Enjoy!
Bruce

Guaranteed to have tank climbing during the meet in Calgary Bruce.

I pretty much have given up on ships. I have a car sprayed, but unassembled. Two aircraft lie untouched in their boxes. I hope to finish my car or start one of my planes after I finish my Panther.
