Do you need a replacement part for your AMT model kit?

Anything missing or damaged? I discovered a link to request AMT parts:

I’m working on the AMT Kenworth W-925 Conventional Truck Kit. Yesterday I botched my paint job and had to strip with enamel thinner and clean up with dish soap, warm water, Comet and a toothbrush. On the cab, I discovered the passenger door post broken in the middle and I have requested a replacement part at the website link above. Perhaps, the paint thinner weakened the THIN door post. If I get a good replacement cab, I can practice my airbrushing on this damaged cab since painting the hollow inside of this part is rather tricky. I tried Gorilla gluing the broken post back together, but no way am I going to get the broken ends of the split post to mate perfectly.

This might help-

I just got a reply from the company. 2-4 weeks to get the requested part delivered due to “reduced” workforce. No big hurry. I have some practicing to do with my airbrush anyway since I’m a total greenhorn at it.

Round 2 Corp, LLC. manufactures today’s AMT kits.

I’ve had some pretty good luck with these guys. They also listen to suggestions and incorporate corrections in their kits. I bought the newly re-released 67 Mustang Fastback. On the box top the art displays the car with Firestone Wide O Oval tires and in the box it had Firestone Super Stocks tires. I called AMT/ Round 2 about it and they brought it up in their meeting the following day. The most recent boxings now have the Firestone Wide O Oval tires just like the box top shows. A BIG shout out goes to Eric Oberhofer and the rest of the team at Round 2 for the correction.
