Do any company produce the 1/35 m728 CEV kit ?

I think of building one … thus any kit in market ?

I bought one a long time ago from AEF Designs. It was not the greatest kit, but I used it to modiy the Tamiya M60A1 kit. I think that Academy was doing one, but I am not sure.

No plastic kit out there. Academy advertised one some time ago, but only came out with the M60A1 with dozer blade. I made one a while back using a Tamiya M60A1, Verlinden blade set (this was before the Academy one with blade), and plans from an article in the March 1995 FSM. The article includes scale drawings for the boom and all the pieces you will need to add to the turret. Here is how mine came out:

I have not heard any good news about the AEF Design resin conversion, there was also another resin conversion out there, but can’t remember by who. It wasn’t any good either.

Go with the Academy M60A1 w/dozer blade and the FSM article. It wasn’t that hard to build.

Good luck.

There is a rumor that Academy has a “real” M728 CEV coming out (as opposed to the M60 w/dozer Gino mentions). I will beleive it when I see it.

Here is what I found at Greatmodels.com:

ADV/Azimut has a conversion kit for $80 Part # 35158
Fine CAst Models has a kit for $143, part # 3513
and they are taking advanced sale orders on Academy’s M728 CEV for $18

Don’t know about the above conversion kits, seem pretty pricey to me. Building it yourself using the FSM article is relatively easy.

The Academy Pre-Order has been there for about 3+ years now. Hope it comes, but not holding my breath for it.

Three years? I wonder how long the Bergehetzer by CMG is going to take?
I used the AEF Designs kit as a base for mine, drilled out my Tamiya M60 turret to replace the solid, deformed turret in the kit.

What issue was the M728 in?

From my original post:

So is possible for me to use M88 A frame and install into a m-60 with dozer and scratch build the 155mm gun ? Do CEV bolt with bolt with reactive armour ?

its a 165mm gun

Sorry, but no to all the above. M-88 A-frame is different shape and design, the gun is a 165mm gun (could scratch-build that, I did). CEV did not have the bolt on reactive or passive armor blocks. Check out the FSMN article I mentioned above, it has all the info you need to build the M728 CEV.
