Some pic’s of my I.P.Tiger I for SMJ’s Big Cat’s GB. Did’nt give it to much of a beating because I want it to look like it had’nt been in the field to long.
Eventually I’ll be adding fig’s and putting it on a base.Another Sunday only project.
T34’s worst nightmare[}:)]
Well hope you like. All feed back is alway’s welcome.
I tried something different and new on this.I took some very fine dirt (loam) mixed with 3 parts water 1 part white glue added some craft store acrylic burnt umber, the glue will act as a whitener and lighten up the umber, and a little terracotta.Mix it till it look’s like watery pancake batter.Use a 1/4in wide brush to apply it pretty much the same way you would pastel’s.
I built up layers on the front, back and side’s to give it a caked on look.I added more water to the mix and then gave the road wheels what was basicaly a wash. After it was dry I gave it a coat of clear matte and dry brushed it with some lite tan.
Looking good Panzerguy. [tup] As a minor note, only #100 had the side bins fitted, but that doesn’t detract from your build.
MR, they’ve been OOP for a while now and are sought after by the collectors, so it can be a scramble to try to locate one. E-bay’s about the only option these days.
And dont it just figure[banghead].I looked all over for pics and info on these first four Tiger’s and the limited stuff I did find gave conflicting info.
Awesome work there fella. Just looks spot on to me. As you said, subtle weathering to look like its not been in the field too long. You pulled it off perfectly.
For the debate, If you relly want to get your head arround the features of the initial T1’s there was a bit of an argument going arround when the kit came out…
I remember an article where the artists said that this is not #100 but # 10?.. need to get back to the resource to fuel the discussion.
I am pretty sure I have seen a 100+ withe the side mounted boxes though.
