Anyone have ANY reliable info on the release of DML’S 1/32 P-51D?, my mouth’s been drooling over this kit since the announcment of it’s impending release[sigh]
Here is some info that may be helpful to you straight from Dragon.

From what I’ve read, this sounds like it’s going to be an outstanding kit! I’m going have to add this to my flight line. [8D] I read somewhere that it’s scheduled to be available sometime mid December?
Now that just made me drool even more. Time to get out the mop[wow]
Ditto on the drooling. The description says some of the parts are “slide molded”. What is that?
Slide molds are a new technology which enables them to put more 3D detail on fewer parts. I’m not familiar with the process, but have seen the results… makes for some nice, well engineered parts. It is more expensive however.
Yeah it is a little more expensive, but with a msrp of around $45.00usd, it’s still less expensive than say a 1/32 Tamiya Mustang would be. I guess we’ll all just have to wait and see[:-^]
I was referring to Slide Molding as being a more expensive technique.
I think at $45, that’s a great price for Dragon’s 1/32 P-51D. [:)]
It could be a very nice kit. Dragon has been doing some great Armor kits over the last few years, but they haven’t done any new AC in a long time. Fit on their older kits has always been an issue, so lets hope they have improved in that area. BTW, an example of the Slide Molding technique are the hollowed out gun barrels found on some Tamiya & Hasegawa kits.

Let’s just hope it’s not a dog like the Hase kit was/is.
