Anyone built this kit?

I think it’s fairly new, I just got one and have started to build it.

One problem I am having is the upper hull for the Pz IV chassis, you have to drill 5 holes out of 2 dozen or so partially done.

And on the side of the hull, it says to cut open a marked box? I am really getting confused on that, as no part covers it up and I’m pretty sure German tanks didn’t go into action with manufactured holes in their sides.

I have one from when it was first issued, (got it on a BIG discount… never turn down a cheap kit!) but it’s still in the box, shrink wrapped.
You’re right, German tanks didn’t have holes in their sides normally, but I’m wondering if this might be a casing port??? Just a wild guess. Not really a German armor authority. (I’d have put an ejection port in the bottom of the hull, if I was designing it!)
