how do you go about displaying your amor? do you put them all together on a shelf or do you put them were you have room to put them. been thinking about each time i do apice is to build its on display and putting a label on it to tell what it is.
If I’m not setting the Armor on a diorama base, I usually just place them on the shelf. I was thinking about taking them (the shelves) off the wall and added some grass and scenery to them, so they don’t look so plain.
I have a woodburner kit and have never gotten around to making little name plates for them.
Maybe when I have some time over the holidays [;)]
ive got some little cabinets from Ikea, theres three shelfs in there and will hold six Kingtiger size tanks
Open shelving? How often do you dust them?

Mine are just stuck on top of the computer desk for now. have no I dea where my Panther is going to go. But it’s about the only place right now out of the 2 year olds domain. Dust, they’re tanks, more dirty the better right?
Personally, I prefer to see models displayed in a setting where they appear to be actually “working”. It’s hard to compose the model with a lot of internal detail being shown but that just saves money on detail parts! LOL!
I put a small shelf about 2 feet below the ceiling on 2 walls of my computer room. This gave me lots of extra space to display them. Besides the others that are scattered throughout the house nudging my wife’s candles off of the various shevling units.
mine, with lack of anywhere else to go, sit contentedly in their drawer in my dresser, the german SS, the russian , and the americans are constantly fighting over who gets to go where-i had to take away their ammunition. just kidding-but i store my armor in there, with the figs nearby-cept for the ones that are ready for a diorama. Oh yeah, my mechanics-for german armor, have all hid from the others who are fighting in there…
I make small display bases with some sort of ground material on them and mount the models to those. These then go on a shelf. I’m currently building a display cabinet to keep my models and figures displayed, safe and clean.
I make small index stock labels that I print out on the printer and fold in half. These have pertinent info and are stored flat under each base. They only come out during shows.

Dust adds character!
Seriously, I bought one of those static-type dusters (you brush it against the TV, when it’s on and it collects a charge). It has really soft feathers on the end and they get dusted off about once a month.
