Okay, so I am currently working on Airfix’s P-51D and using Warbird Decals Tuskegee Airmen markings. When I applied the decals, they either disintegrated on the backing prior to applying on the model.
So they issue I am coming up against is that the red marking around the nose, I had to layer the decal for coverage and you can see the seams. Any thoughts on how to remedy? I’ve used Micros/Set and Sol to settle it. I am debating on leaving it as is, or should I strip it and paint it?
Here is an image, not the best but I will try to take another one later.
I assume you mean ‘used’…

Sure, we can go with that…

That looks like a relatively easy area and shape to mask, so I’d lean toward painting – though it will probably be difficult or impossible to get a shade of red paint to exactly match the red of the “Bunny” nose art decal.
Might have to go that route.
Quick update, I was able to use tape to pull most of the old decal off rom the nose after I taped out the shape in preparation for painting. As always, a small section pulled from the BUNNIE name section, but that was too be expected.

Here is the prep for area for where I removed the decals (with blue painters tape). Thanks everyone for the help. The area is masked so I will be painting and hoping for the best.

This is the current state of the build after fixing the location where the decals were an issue. Thank you all for the help and suggestions.

Looks pretty good from here. Some delicate touchup and a clearcoat will blend a lot of that together I bet!
