disintagrating decals

I am trying to put the decals on my Gloster and the decals kepp falling part. They won’t slide and don’t stay to gether. ANY Ideas

I have tried a couple things, differant water temp, longer in the water, shorter time in thte water, nothing sweems to work.I have been useing the ones that don’t go on this version…

give them a coat of future, allow to dry then cut round the decal closely before soaking to remove backing.

Microscale do a " Liquid decal film " #MI-12 that much the same thing.

Thanks I will go try it now

Still not working

I highly recommend Microscale’s Liquid Decal Film. Good insurance for old decals.

Another method is to spray the sheet with Microgloss and cut close to the decal after the gloss has properly dried. Thats the way friends taught me how to salvage older decals or decals that have numerous problems. H ope this works for you.

I have tried the decal set,to no availe. But looking at the plane,it has see acrylic cowlings for the engines, and with the work put into them I am thinking of repainting it like a civiian aircraft,so it won’t look to out of sorts with the see through engine cowlings, what do you all think??

Decal set will make problem worse. As someone said, you need the liquid decal film stuff. Future is a cheap replacement, but not as good.
