Here’s my Monogram 1/48 He-111 H-10, all camo’d, panel-shaded and lined. The gloss is courtesy of Future Floor Wax and the panel lines highlighted with black oil paint (top) and Burnt Sienna water color (lower). Inching forward!

She looks great. Super job on the paint. Not even complete yet and she looks Outstanding.

That’s a lot of pics. Nice job of weathering.

psycho paint job…AWESOME.
Shes lookin to be a beautiful build Chukw Cant wait to see the finished product
Wow, you have been busy. I know from experience just how much work that adds up to and you are doing a magnificent job. That is going to be a real prize winning build when you’re done, I can see that already.
One minor suggestion, don’t know if you want to do this or not but before placing your antenna see if you can take a look at the movie “Battle of Britain”. Take note of the aerials shown on the Spanish built 111s. I have never seen a modeler duplicate that effect. To be honest I’m not even sure if it is accurate for the type but your build is looking so well detailed it might be something to attempt.
Chukw, great looking build.
The preshading looks great, as do the panel washes.
Looking forward to the fionished article.

Absolutely stunning paint/weathing job!
Very nice Chukw ! I’M building the same kit myself at the moment . The fit on my kit leaves a bit to be desired …well, in some places anyway. The worst is the '“engine to the wing joint.” Urrrrrrrrrk ! lots of shimming ,filling, sanding swearing and rescribing for me. You’ve done a nice job on cleaning yours up though ! Maybe i just had a bad example . Ihope i can share my 111 when i’m done but i only have an entry level dgital camera. Good luck with the rest of yours ,Peter.
Wow, looking good so far.
Wow that looks great. That is some proffetional paint job there.
Looks Great!! That’s a fantastic paintjob… Very good[:p][:p][bow][bow]
Wow, thanks, guys! I’m having a ball with this build- my first plastic a/c in 30 years! Next comes the super-huge exhaust stains under the wings and over the stabs… as you can tell, I’m going for a war-weary battle vet. I’ve got the props and wheels painted up, the u/c in progress (now THAT was a lot of seam-scraping!) and a ton of other lil’ details in the works. That’s the Falcon upper canopy and gondola glazings under all that Tamiya tape. I had painted the bottom once and used the wrong thinner with the Gunze- disaster! When i stripped it off with alcohol, the nose canopies fell off- double disaster. Clean, redip in Future, remount, remask… [B)] Just keep pluggin’… Because of work schedules, etc. I’ve had to put this baby aside for as long as a month at a time.
Swanny, thanks! I’ve made good use of the tips and articles you’ve been kind enough to share with us- cheers! I’ll have to look up those BOB film CASAs, but if the aerial isn’t the H-10 style, well, I’ll have to pass. I’m a total compulsive when it comes to matching a type! These Heinkels are murder to research- so many variants, field modifications, repaired and rebuilt aircraft- not to mention conflicting reference materials!
Olsen, I feel your pain. I got really practiced at puttin’ down the putty in various places on this model. I will say that this is a GREAT kit of a really fantastic subject. I’m tempted to do another, but there are so many different subjects to build, not to mention all the kits in my closet… [8-]
she’s lookin’ excellent chukw!![tup] very nice weathering for sure!! later.
Top Notch bro… awesome look to it.
Beautiful camo and weathering on your 111. Look forward to the finished goods.
