Here are some updated photos of my Regulus One launch diorama. I am now in the final phase which is building the missile. Here it is shown being test fit to the launcher. Now to the glue pot and then the paint can. With the exception of the generator, trusk and figures all else is scratch built in 1/32 1nd 1/35 scale.
Your diorama looks very good so far, can’t wait to see it finished!
It looks like you used the VLS tarmac in your dio, beware that it may come apart after a few months. I used the same product on my photobase and it looked good for about two weeks but after that it has been a losing battle keeping it glued down, I have used three different glues and nothing has worked very long. I will be removing the VLS tarmac ASAP from my photobase.
What I did was to take the one I had to a print shop and they made it into a 2 foot by three foot poster which I modified for the dio. The only thing I had to do was use a dull spray on it to be more realistic.
I’m in awe. There is so much attention to detail here, and the overall look definitely radiates a busy scene. Excellent job!
Which kits did you use, btw?
3 of the figures are from the Verlinden U.S. Mechanics in Korea.
The figures all had to be modified to represent Navy figures of the 1950s. The truck was modified with a different cab roof as the kit had a cloth roof. Everything else is scratch built.
