Hello everyone! I am fairly new to scale modelling and just registered to the community.
I am looking at the Iwata Eclipse HP-CS as my second airbrush. I have been seeing specs of the HP-CS with 0.35mm needle and nozzle tip and is planning to buy one on eBay. However, the cheapest one I could find is with 0.3mm tip (as shown on the product description as well at the back of the box). I have done my research on the differences but couldn’t find anything. Only that most of these 0.3mm are coming straight from Japan.
Now, are these airbrushes (0.35mm and 0.3mm) the same? And the 0.3mm is just a rounded off figure or something? Are there any differences when it comes to parts?
The Eclipse CS has a .35mm config and can be configured with a .5mm. As far as i know there is no nozzle, head, needle for the Eclipse series to configure to .3mm.
The HP C+ (plus) and HP CH Hi-line can be configured in a .2mm | .3mm head assembly, are you sure its not the HP C+ (or Plus) that you are seeing offered in addition to the Eclipse?
Below is the link to the item on eBay. It is the Iwata Eclipse HP-CS, but on the back of the box where the airbrush is illustrated, it is mentioned as 0.3mm. I’ve also seen other boxes with 0.35mm on the illustration. That’s why it has got me confused…
