Did I build it right?

I built one of the barricades in Tamiyas Barricade set and I dont think I built it right.

There were lines on both sides of the poles and ejection marks (the raised circles?) on the inside.
Anyways, did I build it correctly?
Thanks

Looks right to me.

yep you got it! odd thing is’nt it.

Yes, quite odd
what color sould I paint it? a metal then put a little rust on it?

To be perfectly honest I don’t have any idea. I have a set of these sittin’ around here built, but not really used. I just painted them grey for now. I really don’t know if they were even painted in the first place.

They were made out of rail road track and pieces of scrap angle iron. They were left bare metal and look just like rusty rail track.

Looks good to me. Bryan

Thanks guys

Hey those look like … yes it is … I-BEAMS [(-D][party][8-]

Sorry, I just like seeing my screen name in pictures LOL!!

oh Oh, that was bad I-beam, not the obsticle, the joke!!! The odd thing looks great .The grungier the better would be mypath. I walk alot of railroad tracks in my wabbit hunting ventures, and they just absorb all that nature hands out![2c]

Plus those things sat on the beach and probably got a lot of salt water on them.

Not really true research, but Saving Private Ryan has a few close-ups of them in the beginning. I almost feel bad suggesting one do research on a fictional movie

I guess it depends on how long you want it to look like its been on the beach.

I know Rommel ordered these things built because he knew their would be an invasion.
But how long were they in the water or on the beach before D-day?

Salt water and surf tides,I would think that they were pretty weathered by D-day.

My $2.00 (2 cents just isn’t what it used to be).
