I want to detail an USS Enterprise i have at 1/720 (and hope it gets this way)

I want to put the CVW9 aircraft on it, but Skywave detail set’s doesnt have the SH-3 Seaking, UH-2 Seasprite, RA-5C Vigilante and A-3B Skywarrior…
I was wondering if it was right to mix up details from Skywave, White Ensign and Gold Medal, since i also want to put a few crew, detail the deck and put some vehicles in the deck… and hopefully it gets as closest as the pic above…
Can anyone share some lights???
Or give just some tips???

Since model building is all about experimenting, use whatever you wnat to achieve your desired results. I built an Arii kit of the U.S.S. Abraham Lincoln (CVN-72), that I served aboard, a few years ago. I used the Gold Medal Models detail set for the Enterprise/Nimitz as well as some figures. I would say that you will need to use whatever is available to get what you want. Some of the aircraft may be tricky to find. Good luck.
I joined the Navy to see the world…
and forgot that it was over 75% water.
What you can also do is scratchbuild one sample of each aircraft. It is not as dauntng as you think when you simply modify available aircraft. (The real navy does that) and cast copies with RTV molds and resin. That stuff is available from Micro-Mark and is not difficult to work with. Please post a pic of your results.
