I’ll just start off with the question.
I would like to know from those who have any model of the C-119 Flying Boxcar, What type of paper work came with the model.
This is why I would like to know. Currently I am creating a computer model of this aircraft for use in Flight simulator 9 and X. I have purchased a Blue print from a website that has proven to be less than accurate. This has caused numerous headaches. I am a graphic artist so Recreating a new blue print is possible but I am missing the correct size reference in many parts of the aircraft.
I ran across a Model form Ital. and images posted showed some great illustrations of of the aircraft. I would love to have these and found that it was the decals from “Leading Edge” Decals. On their site, however It only shows 3 sheets of info and not what i saw of a review.
I can get the decals here, (http://lemdecal.com/72.004%20page.html) and use the front sheet for top views.
There was a review of these decal done here (http://www.aircraftresourcecenter.com/Rev2/1801-1900/rev1809-Leading-Edge72004/00.shtm) That shows 4 sheets. The Sheets underneath show a great illustration of the side views that will help a long way in getting this model accurate as possible. I have emailed Leading Edge but have not received a response yet.
In basic terms. what I really need is the front sheet (colored Sheet) and the two B&W sheets from the image in the review. on the second link. If I have to buy a model to get these then thats a plus and will force me to put it together
Thanks for any help you might be able to provide.
