Detail kits and PE parts

I want to add some detail to my models and some of the detail kits say (for example 1/48 Hasegawa) are for certain model mfg’s. Will they also work for a monogram, Minicraft, Revell model or do I need to buy the specific detail kit for my mfg model?

Unless you want to have to “monkey” around with the resin or PE I’d stick with the after market that is recommended for whatever kit you are detailing out. If you try to mix and match you’ll probably wind up having to modify either your kit or the PE to make things fit.
