DECALS (preventing yellowing edges)

HEY ALL OUT THERE QUICK QESTION I HAVE DECALS THAT ARE YELLOWISH AROUNF\D THE EDGES WHAT DO I NEED TO DO KEEP THAT FROM HAPPENING AND HOW CAN I GET RID OF IT PLEASE HELP

[edit: When I moved this to the decaling forum, I modified the title. --dvoss]

Place the decal sheet on a window pane, facing sunshine, and the yellowish thing will disappear. Make sure there’s no condensation on the window!

To keep that from happening, it is a good idea to keep decals of kits you purchase into zip-lock kind of bags.

And, by the way, can you try to use ‘normal’ letters instead of capitals? It’s so much easier to read…! Thanks!

thanks that helps me before i apply them but what about if its yellow on the model

Deano,
Once the yellowed decals are on the model, I’m not sure that problem can be overcome.
Anyone have a fix for that?
Use the tip of placening the decals for a week or so taped to a window facing the sun, or if you have a steady hand, use a new no.11 blade and trim away the clear carrier from the edges of each decal - but it’s hard to do for things like stencilling.
If it’s yellow on the model, you might have to live with it…
Cheers, Tree
