decals in panel lines

how do I go about getting the decals to conform to the recessed panel lines?
do I just use micro sol or set or whatever?

I have used solve-a-set in the past and it works well. BUT it can melt the decal so much so to make it distort when you move it, when I have used it I thined it down some with the decal water.

If the decals are relatively thin Microsol will make them conform just fine. If the decals are pretty thick it might take more than one application, but it should suck them down eventually.

I usually start with microset, place it where the decal will go, lay down the decal, brush some more across the top of the decal and let it sit. Before it is totally dry take a damp corner of a paper towel (not wet) and tamp it down lightly hopefully it sits in the panel lines. If not, at this point you can hit it with more Microset if needed, or do what Scott recommended, but don’t try to touch the decal after Microsol hits it… it softens it way too much to be able to move or touch. just let it sit down and if it needs it, hit it with some more. I have done as many as 6 to 8 applications of it on stubborn decals before they lay down well…
