Decals for dummies.....help!

I remember reading some time ago about a technique using a mix of Elmers glue and water as an undercoat to help the decal set and limit the chances of ‘silvering’ for applying decals to areas that may not be the best or smoothest.

Has anyone used this method???

The good part iz that the decals I’m using are ‘after market’ …nicely done , thin and have worked very well so far on ‘proper’ high gloss serfaces.

Thanks!

I use good old Elmer’s Glue sometimes when decals won’t stay down. Straight Elmer’s works great too.

I’ve used Elmers Glue also, both thinned and straight out the bottle for some stubbon decals. Cleaned up around the decal with water and soft cloth before it dried.
