I’m going to be in the DFW area at the beginning of August. My wife has already put down the expectation of making several stops to replenish her supplies for Operation Christmas Child shoe boxes. To counter, I figured I would stop at a model shop or two. Anyone have any suggestions?
The only shops left in the DFW area are HobbyTowns. Expect the typical HT gack. One, maybe 2 aisles of plastic. Mission Models paints in most of them, empty ModelMaster racks, Vallejo Model Air & Panzer Aces Paints. The Hurst store carries Reaper paints which I have come to like
Thank you for the rec. I ended up stopping at the location in Plano, which was pretty much as you described. Very nearly walked out of there with a Tamiya Bf109E-3 but figured I could find it for less online (which I did late last night once I was back home, but haven’t decided to get it yet). Also took a long look at the Klingon K’t’inga warship by Polar Lights, but knew I could get it for a bit less and probably without sales tax.
