D0-18D 1/72 Revell/Italeri/Matchbox

Last build for 2019 is the old Matchbox DO-18 . I finished this as a Do-18D one that belonged to 2./Ku.FI.Gr506 . The intakes on the engine nacelles had to be reworked, exhaust stacks in the wings added , stringers added to the top side as well as panel lines on the Fuselage. I finished it with Model master enamels , weathered with water based acrylics and had a Friend print out the decals. The only kit available for this subject and some what klunky , with some tweaking it still builds out into a decent representation of the subject. What struck me as odd is the box art has the correct engine intakes yet ,the inside kit is wrong

That looks great, what a unique aircraft. I’ve never seen this one, looks like the German version of a Walrus.

Well done. I applaud your effort on a rare type.

Vundebar Capitan. Looks great

Thats very nicely done Trey, good to see one of these bult up.

That’s an awesome build! I’ve got one of these in the stash and have been telling myself I’ve got to give it a go.

I love those birds that can also swim. Very cool subject and certainly not often seen. Very nice work.
