The models in the Portfolio weren’t limited strictly to vehicles used on 6 June but anything used on D-Day and subsequently.
The Group Builds forum is merely a directory. The threads for the projects themselves will continue to reside in the forum appropriate to the subject matter of the build (i.e., armor projects in the Armor forum, aircraft projects in Aircraft, autos/trucks/motorcycles in Autos, etc.).
