Czech Models F-8OC Shooting Star

This is my latest build…The Czech Models 1/32 scale Shooting Star. I used the AM cockpit and exhaust from AMS and scratch built the nose gear bay plus added detail to the main gear bays and speed-break bays. I used Alclad II for the first time and really enjoyed it.

And there you have it. If your interrested in the build thread go to:

Looks very good McKay! That Alclad II is some amazing stuff, isn’t it?

Thanks…Yes it is… Ihave used Testors Model Masters Metalizer in the past but the Alclad II seems to be much better. I thank I can really enjoy building NM aircraft after I get a little more pratice with the Alclad II.

Now thats a great looking build. The cockpit looks special for sure. Love the finish. I agree with Frank, Alclad is deffo the buisness. Nice job.

…Guy

Alclad is some sweet stuff, you got a nice one there.

VEry nice, McKay! It looks like a wonderful kit. I wish a newer tooled 1/48 scale would become available, or even a re-pop of the venerable Monogram kit. Thank you for sharing…now I want one!

Great job!!!

Nicely done! [tup] The gear bays look lovely and the interior looks especially lovely!

I’ve been waiting patiently for either of those to happen… hopefully soon.

Nicely done. Great looking Starfighter.

Regards, Rick

Beautiful build. I only have one tiny thing to say, though.

The F-80 is the “Shooting Star”. The “Starfighter” is the F-104.

Ray

Thanks for the heads up. I guess I will be shot at dawn for that grievous crime.
