Cutting Resin

I use resin aftermarket kits for almost every model airplane I build. More than once I’ve had part of the part I’m sawing, or cutting from its resin base break off. Just out of curiosity, how do you guys do it? Thanks in advance for your replies.

Depends on the part. Razor saw, a sharp knife or sometimes the back of the point of a #11 blade. If it isa long cut to be made with a saw, I will score the line of the cut on both sides if possible with the back of a blade then saw. King of a relief cut so hopefully if it is gonna let go it will go on the scribed line. If I have the cockpit tub or floor that has a slab of resin to get off I chuck a coarse sanding wheel in the Dremel and hold the vacuum hose between my knees, don my mask and grind away. Actually the mask is on for cutting of resin.
