Well just an update, I washed all the parts last night and I will be starting on the office today. I will post some pics when some of the painting is done in the cockpit.

Hmmmmmmmmm I think I got BAD resin parts here. I was just about to cut and sand all the resin parts and I was looking to see where they all go and I looked at the seat and it’s not all there.
Take a look at these pics, the bottom on the seat is ok but the back is not all there. Is it me or am I missing something…
It shows it all being one piece.
Anyone have any thoughts on what I should do now ? If I can’t fix this, I mught blacken the windows. I did that on a build I worked on a LONG time ago and it looked cool.
Any thoughts ???

Do you have the seat for a P-40E? If I’m not mistaken, they were the same (if not very close). You can get a resin one from squadron.
I would guess the resin bits are totally screwed… looks like the seat has done a few rounds with strong acid. Good to see quality control is alive and well (not).
Hope the one I’ve been waiting for (10 weeks now… sigh) is not like that if it ever arrives.

That’s not the 1st thing that’s messed up is it? I’d reccomend contacting the company and telling them that you got hosed. They may toss in a free kit or something!

I have 4 orders from Squadron surface mail (no hazardous stuff… just kits) order date 7th Jul - 18th Jul and as yet nothing has arrived.
It’s a real let down as surface mail from Tower Hobbies was just 2 weeks and was behind the air mail delivery by 2 days.
I know they have my address right as a flyer by air mail got here… just no the stuff I have ordered.
Problem is… I can’t start any of my kits as I oredered all after market accessories for the kits I have.
In desperation… I pulled all the pilots and figures out of the kits and did a mass figure paint.
Not hard to imagine I’ll be paranoid about using Squadron again. Been using great Models as their airmail is cheaper than the Squadron surface mail and takes about 1week to get here.[2c]
Bud, who did you order the set from to begin with? I had ordered alot from Squadron over the past few yrs. & I’ve always had great service from them. They replaced a whole kit when I contacted them about the lower wings on the A-6A were warped beyond repair.
Hoek’s revenge, If I were you, I’d call Squadron and find out what the delay is on your stuff. I’m in Calif and I get my orders within a week. Regardless of whether it’s a kit or A/Msets or paints. I’ve given up on GMW after a couple of fouled up orders[B)]
