Cuban MiG-29 pics

Hello,
Here is the my just-completed Cuban AF MiG-29 I posted for the foreign MiG group build.

It’s an Academy 1/48 mig-29. It’s kind of a classic case of detailing a model by “throwing money at it” as I was too lazy to do much research prior to building it, so I just bought a bunch of aftermarket goodies: Verlinden resin seat + Eduard PE set + Cutting Edge decals

The pre-shading and camo is sprayed with Gunze acrylics. Burner cans are done with MM enamel. Weathering is a wash of raw umber artist oil, followed by post-shading using thinned black enamel.

Thank you for looking.

Terry

Exscellent work. A great looking Mig.

Beautiful job on the Mig.

Wow, what a beautiful finish. Excellent job. The panel lines are so subtle yet so effective. Can you provide some detail as to how you did it?
Thanks for sharing.

Thank you Zoran (oooh, a fellow torontonian, cool!) Academy should take credit for the molding of the subtle panel lines. I just used a raw umber wash (1 part artist oil color paste, 20 parts water, 2 parts dish detergent), apply it all over the surface, let dry, then wiped with a damp cloth. This process highlights the panel lines and left the streaks as weathering.

Sweet looking Mig , truley Awesome work there

Very cool looking MiG… I love to see uncommon markings like that.

What a great job on this MiG! The weathering and camo are striking. Very realistic build!
