Createx Paint

I just got my first airbrush compressor with new paint, that came with it. The brand is createx opaque colors. My question is can I use my testers universal airbrush cleaner to clean after use of the createx paint. Also does this paint work well on plastic? I also have the testers thinner, or should I use something else to thin it?

Here are my thoughts.

For cleaning I use the cheaper generic products, window cleaner, alcohol, etc. Lots of this kinda stuff out there.

For thinning I use the thinner put out by the paint maker. So I have Testors thinner, Vallejo thinner, Createx thinner, etc,

You use a lot less for thinning than you do for cleaning. i.e. Expensive stuff for thinning, cheap stuff for cleaning.

Some argue there is no difference (generic vs brand name) and they may well be right.

I use such small amounts of the brand name stuff for thinner that I’m willing to spend the extra.

My basic reasoning is if the paint job goes really screwy the thinner is one less factor.

Createx paints are water based acrylics so you can use Windex to thin/clean the AB, or thin with water. Createx makes a ‘reducer’ but I’ve nevery used it. I don’t know how well Createx adhere to styene but I thin with airbrush medium and always add a little GAC 200 to my Craft Acrylic paints. Lots of info about Createx Here:

I’ve used Createx on 2 models and they both look great.
