Stopped in at the LHS yesterday to get a bottle of gloss gey for the Mustang GB, and was looking on the “bargain shelf” and saw two opened older kits that look like they are all there.
One is The ESCI #5007 Demag D7 1 ton halftrack, and the other is an Italeri #212 PZKPFW 38 (t). No dates on the boxes and I don’t usually go for armor, but for $6.00 each, I grabbed and ran (after paying up) The D7 tracks appear to be either broken or in two pieces, each about in a 1/3, 2/3 split.
Should be an interesting excercise as I go more for aircraft and recently, ships.
Welcome to the dark side. I tried building that Demag many moons ago and found it to be the worst kit I ever built. Italeri kits are decent, but usually require some TLC to build.
I don’t have that much experience with ESCI armour but my first 1/35th tank was an Italeri Panzer IV. They are a little tedious at points with more small parts than a Tamiya kit but I think they’re still decent though companies like Dragon have surpassed them. For six bucks a piece they’re worth it just for practice- congrads on a good deal!
