Could someone translate from French?

My Azimut truck kit has some instructions that are just in French. Anyone here fluent? (Please don’t just put it through babelfish – idioms can often mean something very different from the literal words.)

Here are the phrases:

  1. Positionner par rapport a l’attache fixe et au ressort

  2. Decoupe pour passage des suspensions et boitier de direction

decoupe is the only part not translated which mean “cut” the rest of the translation is correct

I agree. “fixe” is this sense means that it fixed in place, ie it doesn’t move. “par rapport à” means in relation to, or relative to. You’ve gotten the word from two bilingual Montrealers. It doesn’t get any more official than that. All those years of french school and french immersion have paid off, though I do prefer translating for blonde bombshell tourists[:D]
