Corrugated sheet siding

In 1:48 scale how do you make corrugated siding or roofs for huts or warehouses. I have looked at corrugated cardboard as small as the packaging you get for lightbulbs, but it’s still to large. Evergreen doesn’t even make it.

If I remember correctly (and sometimes that’s a long shot), a company by the name of Plastruct used to make sheets of corrugated plastic. If not, check out your closest Railroad Hobby Store, they might have what you need.

I think you are right about Plastruct carrying corrugated sheet. I just read an article about a sci-fi space frieghter that had cargo pods made of Plastruct corrugated sheets. In the article they said that it wasn’t a product found in a hobby shop. They had to get it from a place that supplied to architectural modelers. I would think that you could get it from a shop that caters to the model RR crowd. Heck you could buy a whole RR building and modify it to your needs.

Since I’m part of the model RR crowd too I
went to my work bench and here’s what your looking for.
Williams Bros. makes corrugated aluminum
sheets (2) 72 sq. inches stock # 60000 at 3.25 a pack.
It’s actual stamped aluminum. It’s in the Walthers catalogs
under scratch building supplies.
Campbell Scale Models also made corrugated
aluminum sheets but I’m not sure if it’s still available.
fuzzy

I hate to correct you Fuzzy but the the corrugated sheets from williams is not stamped .
It is cut to size then run through a roll press.
They use various size rollers for the different types of siding and roofing sheets.
I only know this because I am a former williams employee.
I use the ho scale roofing sheets for rifling on tank barrels.

James,
No problem . I was in a hurry and that was in the
description . At least they make it like the real metal.

I think they are the only company that does.
It’s much easier to work with than plastic on dioramas and such.
