Hey Gang,
What is the correct part name for the metal rod assembly on the backside of this cathead from the Wanderer? I suspect it has something to do with hoisting/hanging/securing the anchor, but I can’t seem to find it in my reference material.

Those are the details for the anchor release pin, anchor catch, and preventer pin.

Thanks Tim. not a whole lot is written on them that’s for sure.
You’re welcome. Definitely not, and the equipment wasn’t standardized. You might see a mention or drawing in a monograph, but they’ll appear only once or almost as an afterthought. I’m not sure if the equipment was thought lubberly by some captains while others saw the use in helping with an anchor.
