Anyone collect corgi 1/144 planes ?
Nope, not me. [:p]
Fade to Black…
I buy them for my Dad. Not enough details for my tastes…
No, but my son has all of those old 1/87 AHM aircraft in their original boxes. He has a foot locker and at least two dresser drawers full. He still looks for them. When they were new they sold for under a dollar each. Now they are getting 15-20 dollars each,[:0] if you can find any.
Actually, the scale was all over the place. The only constant is the size of the box. The P-51 is about the same size as the Boeing 314 Clipper which is about the same size as the OV-10.[}:)]
AHM also issued a limited number of these in kit form. I have the P-38, Winnie Mae, and A6M5 Zero stashed away.

I’d buy some if I had the extra money. Also, I can’t find any Corgi models in the Hobby Shop.
I collect Diecast planes and Armor. The Corgi 1/72 stuff is good (So are Matchbox Collectibles Planes of Fame), but check out Dragon’s 1:72 line…it’s incredible!
dragons where?
I collect the Corgi 1/72 WWII series, the Matchbox aviation 1/72 series and Dragonwings 1/72 planes… The 1/144 stuff is just too small for me.
BTW: the Dragon website is : www.dragon-models.com
