I don’t parle francais so if anyone can translate this site and confirm this, but I suspect Fonderie Miniature (FM) is about to release a 1/48 scale version of the Lockheed PV-1 Ventura (a.k.a. B-34//Harpoon). The first link below is to a list of all of their 1/48 scale aircraft. You’ll find the listing of (and link to) the Ventura at the bottom of the list. The 2nd link below is directly to the Ventura’s page, and that’s where I think it says in French that they are releasing it late 2003. Hmmm… they better hurry. [(-D]

This is what it says. Feel free to translate anyone.
MOULES EN COURS DE FABRICATION
SORTIE PREVUE : DERNIER TRIMESTRE 2003
Que? [%-)]
My French is a little rusty, but it looks like that says to be released in the last Trimester of 2003. (Hope they don’t have too many labor pains! [;)])
I’d definitely get one of those. Interesting airplane!
That’s what I thought. They work on trimesters over there not quarters. Less work I guess for the accounting department. I used to work with auditors now and then until the Enron scandal. Guess one of my previous employers [;)] .
Makes sence. It’s France. If it’s anything like the tram they put in at O’Hare, the model will be production ready in 2005.[banghead] I hope they prove me wrong.
Have either one of you built or seen one of their kits, live and in color???
They definitely have some interesting subjects! I especially like the idea of molding the R5 fuselage in clear. Sure would make it easier as far as the clear parts go. [^]

I hope that someone else is going to release this because Fonderie kits do not go together very well.
Its as if 3 or 4 companies mould a different sprue and never check to see if they actually fit.
The quality of the resin parts is bad at best and the instructions drawn by Helen Keller.
(I have seen a friend build the CM170 Magester)
