Compressor walking away syndrome

Any tricks on keeping your compressor in place

with the rubber feet so it does not get up

and walk away from vibration ?

I bolted the feet of my compressor to a board that sits under my spray booth. It has moved as much as a millimeter.

What type of compressor do you have (big–small) .hobby --tank no tank …what I did was to frame in the base with 1/2 inch square strips of wood like baseboard molding …works for me. .[;)]

There are some pads sold at hardware stores designed for machinery. Others for standing on. I took a cheap way out for my latest compressor, a small Iwata. Main reason was for noise- it vibrated the top surface of the stand I put it on and sounded like a drum role, but it was also walking around a lot. I had been putting down some patio blocks made of recycled tire rubber. They had been on sale at a bargain price, and I put one of those under the compressor. Worked very well.

I use a basic cheap black computer mouse pad…it worked great for me.

I used a mesh/grid type rubber door mat to solve that problem for me

I have made one of the g’sons hold it. Works fine.

Furniture cups!

I have my compressor on a plastic table. It walked badly. Tried the anti-skid matting, but that was no help at all. Tried putting it on the floor, but I didn’t like that. I want to see the gauge with ease. What about furniture cups? They worked for the most part, but it still walked a bit. I know! I have double sided duct (Duck) tape. Furniture cups secured to the table with that. Problem solved. No more walking. Solid solution!

I zip tied my compressor to one of the legs of the table I use for my paint booth. HAHA

I responded to a similar question, I use a rubber drawer liner under my little compressor to keep it from “wandering”. I think that I got the liner from our local Dollar Store.
