A few builds ago, I found this kit out of all places, Hobby Lobby! Upon opening the box I noticed something was not quite right. The canopy glass was warped from some kind of exposure to the elements.
I requested, a new spruce of clear pieces. As you can see, I just received this today.
Just a heads up about Hobby Lobby. I once bought a kit from there that was SEALED. Once I got home and opened it, the kit was obviously started: parts glued, decals cut, etc. I called Hobby Lobby (I live 1.5 hours away) to ask if they re-seal returned kits, as it was obvious they do. The manager replied “never”. After a little digging around and talking to the right people (at a different Hobby Lobby via the phone) Hobby Lobby does, in fact, re-seal returned kits. They have a shirink-wrap tool – device --machine – thing. I’m not saying this happend to your kit, this situation just made me think of it. I know you go to Hobby Lobby often, so it’s good information to have.
I thought your realy name was Toshi. What does Toshi mean?
Thank you for the information regarding Hobby Lobby. As for Toshi? It is my middle name, Toshio. Toshi is just a shortened way of saying Toshio. My full name is Allan Toshio Miura Jr.
Ever since I started playing my trumpet, I’ve been called Toshi so as to not confuse people, you see, if someone calls for Allan, my dad or I will both answer. Hence Toshi. Playing jazz for all those years (Being away from home at 17 years old, I did not have to answer to Allan, as back then, when my father was alive) being called Toshi has stuck with me since a child.
My immediate family calls me Junior. When Mrs. Toshi gets mad at me, I’m called something else that I cannot repeat here on this forum. LOL! Toshi means a happy beginning or New Year, to celebrate. Thank you for the visit!
I’m sure my kit was the one in a million kit as far as the canopy is concerned. I was pleasantly surprised by how well this kit was built. Pro-modeler did a fantastic job. I can say that I can recommend this kit. Thank you for the visit.
