Completed Revell 1:48 Consolidated B-24D Liberator

Very Nice Toshi! It’s been fun to see your painting and decalling skills get better with each build. Such a big project and you came through very nicely. Looks like the fit of the clear parts was pretty poor. One of this kits toughest spots to deal with.

Have to echo the sentiments of many here, Toshi. Fine build and your skills are improving with every build. Funny how that happens! As Nathan alluded to, poopy clear parts issues but otherwise, well done.

I was out of town for a few days (Death Valley NP) and knew that you’d have progressed considerably when I returned and viewed what was going on at Finescale. I didn’t think you’d have finished it though - good work as usual - and with the speed of Hermes!

Mike

I do inded, a great finish, really nice build. Just keeps getting better and better.

Nicely done, Toshi! I bet that looks good hanging next to your tank lol.

Your hand painting of those canopy frames is improving as well I see. Well done, my friend.

You’re not quite the ameture anymore. You are going places.

Great job Toshi!!! I like that you painted the underside grey. Your model is a nice conrast to my NMF version. The weathering is really nice. Job well done and keep up the good work.

Thank you templar1099. Also thank you for the read and reply.

Hi, Toshi

Well, what’s to be said, beyond what a remarkable job you made of the B-24. Everywhere I look I see attention to details and good craftsmanship.

You have made great advancements with skills and abilities. A modeler to improve this fast I have never seen, and you should be in the Guiness Record Book for speed building.

Thanks for all of the posts and photos, congratulations for your FSM anniversary.

Patrick

Thank you Nathan T. I so look up to your builds on your threads. You do some amazing work! Yes, the canopies were a challenge to deal with, I just made the best of the situation. This is something I can personally work on to better my skills. Thank you very much for the read and reply.

Toshi

Thank you so much murph. On each build I try to do my best and move forward to the best of my abilities. Yes, I must agree with you in that the clear parts are poopy at best. This is something I can personally work on. Thank you for the visit!

Toshi

Toshi -

Well Done Sir! Your builds keep getting better and better. Before long we’ll be seeing you featured in FSM. Great job Toshi!

How was your visit to Death Valley? I hope a well one. Thank you for the compliments as well as the support you’ve given me!

Toshi

Thank you Bish, I really enjoy your support in my projects. It means much to me!

Toshi

LOL! Yes, it looks like it belongs hanging from the ceiling next to the tank! LOL. In all seriousness, the Liberator was placed on the ceiling today to hang with the rest of my collection.

There are several Vietnam and Iraqi war veterans at the local VFW. I’m donating both my tanks (Bulldog and the M1-A1 Abrams) for display at the VFW In honor of them and those that gave up their lives for us.

Thank you very much for your support, read, and replies, it means so much to me.

Toshi

Thank you JohnnyK. I am inspired by your NMF build, that’s fantastic work sir. Also, thank you for visiting my build!

Toshi

Thank you sir for the kind words! I will continue to post my builds and read all replies, this is the only way I can learn from such great FSM forum members such as yourself! Thank you for the visit!

Toshi

Thank you Hunter. Also thank you for the support in my projects!

Toshi

It’s been a year already? Time flies when we’re having fun. Indeed modeling is the ultimate stress release (unless your building the SH Blackburn Roc…lol). Thanks for sharing your work with us. .

Oh no. I want to thank you and FSM forum members for all of your support in my builds. That has been instrumental in my life!

Toshi

Looks good from here Toshi. I like those markings. [B]
