Completed PZII GB Flammpanzer II

My entry for the PZII Groupbuild, alan’s Flammpanzer II. Let’s not talk about the headaches this kit gave me…[:I]

It looks nice, the overall tone could be lighter though. I like the weathering and I have to ask how you did it. Also, what are those tubular things mounted on raised brackets on the rear deck? Again, great job![tup]

alex, thanks for the comments… the weathering shade was done with a mix of red-brown and german grey and then weathering powders. the raised tubes. well, i read that they mounted these grenade launchers on the back to compansate for the range support lost by removing the 20mm KwK gun in favor of the lone MG. The flamethrowers on the front did not make up for it. But someone earlier told me they were simply smoke dischargers so I will double check my references.

thanks

like I said geoff, looks great!

I’ll keep that in mind, what weathering powder did you use, I know there are literally TONS out there…

i got some off of EBAY and bought another set at the LHS but the names escape me. sorry

veery nice build all around, i really like the weathering on it, looks like it was pur through the wringer a couple of times

Great looking build. The weathering looks good from here. I imagine the fenders and the front area would be a little dark and discoloerd due to the heat of the flamethrower devices. All of the pictures Ive seen of these vehicles are from the side and in B&W. But it only makes sense. I think youre on it

Wow, looking really great Geoff. I am a regular builder of them European kits so I know the headache you might of encountered.
Thanks for sharing your “Flamm” with us.

Super work man, simply super!

Oh heck “Pilgrim”, You’ve done another great job. I think you and me have been in a building frenzy over this past year?? Always like seeing your work Geoff, and this is a neat addition to your ever growing collection. Semper Fi, Mike

again, thanks for the comments everyone… i do appreciate it
