Awesome job! Really nice job on the decals especially for a beginner. I’m curious if you lost or wrecked any decals. It didn’t look like you did. my first model had half the decals needed because i wrecked them. keep it up.
I lost part of the number decal on the wing. But I read a how to on decals that really helped. Forget which site I found it on though.
I used testors decal solution which grabed the decals nicely and laid them down flat. I cut the decals out as close to the lines as I could, I left them in warm water for 20 seconds, put them on a paper towel to remove the excess water, just moved them slightly to get an edge and make sure they would slide before placing then down. Used my exacto knife to push, slide, lift, move etc. Then I took a q-tip soaked lightly in decal solution to brush them lightly and remove any air bubbles. I found that if you place the airplane on you lap, with the side up that the decal goes on seemed to be quite easy compared to having the plane sit on a table. I went through a mock placement to make I knew which way to slide the backing off etc. and how to hold the plane so as not to disturb any other decals helped reduced mistakes. Plus I had some country classic music.
