Anybody here a Clive Cussler fan and avid reader of his Dirk Pitt/Kurt Austin adventure books? I need some advice.
Later this year, I plan to make a fictional NUMA oceanographic research and exploration ship model based on a lot of the stories Clive Cussler has written.
The bad part: I really haven’t read that many of his books to know what colors the NUMA aircraft and ships, etc. are painted in. I’ve kind of heard they are painted all in a turquoise color. Is that correct?
I’m trying to vision in my mind a ship painted in all turquoise color above the waterline mark (Upper hull plus superstructure) and I just don’t like the look of it. I’d rather think the upper portion of the hull above the waterline mark was turquoise while the superstructure parts were white like on normal oceanographic ships.
Are there any of Cussler’s books that give a better description of what his fictional NUMA ships and aircraft are painted in?
Definitely a fan,all the way back to Raise the Titanic
