Color Cross Reference Between Model Master and Gunze Sangyo

Hi All,

Does anyone know of a color cross reference between Model Master enamels and acrylics and Gunze Sangyo colors?

Also is there any cross reference between Model Master old and new stock numbers?

I’m building an Italeri ACH-47A Chinook helicopter gunship and the instructions call for MM #1510 Blue and MM#1524 Green. I can’t find those numbers anywhere, but I suppose the correct colors still exist. There’s no FS #reference.

I prefer acrylics because they clean up so well and airbruch right out of the bottle.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

John

See Urban Frederickson’s paint conversion charts at IPMS Stockholm http://www.ipmsstockholm.org/colorcharts/colorcharts_2.asp

The Gunze chart

and the ModelMaster enamel one. http://www.ipmsstockholm.org/colorcharts/stuff_eng_colorcharts_modelmaster.htm

You may have to make a multi-step comparison to get from one product to another if there is no direct comparison,

Here’s another… http://www.gphobby.krakow.pl/gs_tabela.htm

(The base text is in Polish, but the tables are pretty clear)

#1510 Blue and #1524 Green are the Italeri stock numbers equivalent to Testors’ 1/4-oz enamels #1110 Blue (gloss) and #1124 Green (gloss).

Thanks to all who replied to my query. I’ve checked out the sites mentioned and they are perfect for what I need. I knew someone had the answers.
