What is the best product for clearcoating decals, once they have been placed on the model? The clear laquers tend to wrinkle decals when first applied over them.

I often use Testor’s Dull-cote in the spray can for a matt finish.
But I have heard very good things about using Future with a small amount of Tamiya’s matting agent mixed in to produce an excellent dull finish.
Are you spraying on you clear coat immediatly after applying them? - If so, let the decals dry 24 to 48 hrs before coating - Laquer clear coating seems to attack decals that aren’t completly dry
