Which one are you using ? They really cut
down on the overspray when you flush
your airbrush. I really like design of the
Astek one.

I use an empty jelly or peanut butter jar. Cost me nothing. Every spring I take it to the recylcling center for proper disposal.
I also like having one my dog knocked mine of the bottom shelf which is only 2 inches off the ground and shattered it.
What a pain cleaning with out it. Mine was a iwata made of glass.I will get another one. I would also like a spray booth.
I made my own. Used a glass pint jar (glass because I sometimes clean up with lacquer thinner). It had a plastic top. Then I used some 1/2 inch PVC pipe and pipe fittings, including a 45 degree elbow to form an inlet sticking up and out. I reamed a hole in the top to fit the pvc pipe assembly and glued the assembly into the top.
I need to get one honestly. I currently just spray into the trash can. I had made one myself like others mentions but it’s just too cumbersome to make it worth it since everything just blows back out the hole you cut for the tip.
Good tip, Don! I may have to do that to make it universal for all my jelly jar lids. This way, I can save the solid lids for disposal at the recycling center.
That’s what I’m doing more or less at this point looking for a jar that will fit my iwata lid that’s left. It works great at breathing and keeping the over spray down.
I use to have 2. But I gave it away. Its not really safe for airbrush.
So I got me another 2 of this…

With a tip and mid body support or airbrush holder. This is the best one for me.
Why 2? One for Water based and the other for solvent based paints and cleaners.
All this containers can only contain most of the particulate but not the fume.
Cool idea JJ !
Better yet - go to Harbor Freight and find this:
http://www.harborfreight.com/airbrush-cleaning-bottle-68154.html
Cost $7.99. Throw in their 20% coupon and it come out to less than $7. Buy 2 it’s still comes out less than $20.
It’s basically the same product.
I use the Harbor Freight one.
It has an “O” ring to seal around the tip…has another opening, filled with a mesh “sponge”/filter…but will not contain the fumes as you spray…so I hold it right under the suction fan, blowing that junk outside.
